Analysis and separation results are estimates produced by signal processing, not definitive verdicts. Quality depends on the source recording.
Trimming audio precisely
An audio cutter is the fastest way to take the part you want out of a recording: a ringtone from a chorus, a clean take out of a rehearsal, or silence off the head and tail of a voice note. Select a region on the waveform, keep it or delete it, and export.
Cuts are made on the decoded sample data rather than on the compressed file, so edits land exactly where you place them instead of snapping to an MP3 frame boundary. Optional fade-in and fade-out ramps remove the clicks that hard cuts leave at zero-crossings.
Exporting to WAV keeps the audio lossless. Exporting to MP3 re-encodes once — fine for sharing, but if you plan further edits, keep a WAV copy.
How to use the audio cutter
- 01Load an audio file to draw its waveform.
- 02Drag the region handles to the start and end points you want.
- 03Choose whether to keep the selection or cut it out, and add fades if needed.
- 04Export as WAV or MP3.
Frequently asked questions
Exporting to WAV does not lose quality. Exporting to MP3 encodes once from the decoded audio, which is a single generation of loss.
Yes. Select the region and choose to remove it — the surrounding audio is joined, with an optional short fade to avoid a click.
